Don't Dress for Dinner
Duchess Theatre
(26th Oct 92-1st Mar 97)

Review by Darren Dalglish
30th Aug 96

This farce is about a husband who arranges for his mistress to stay at his home for the weekend while his wife is at her mother's. However, when the wife discovers that her husband's best friend is coming to stay with him, she makes an excuse not to visit her mother. This is because her husband's friend is also her lover. Confused, you will be as the plot becomes more and more twisted and mixed up when the mistress, the friend and the cook turn up and take many identifications.

This show has been running at the Duchess theatre since October 1992, and you can see why. It is very cleverly written and the timing of the actors superb. All played their part very well, particularly Michael Sharvell Martin who plays 'Robert' , the husband' s friend and Royce Mills who plays 'Bernard', the husband.

The pace is fast and you have to keep your wits about you, but I'm sure it will make you laugh out load. It is good fun for all the family.
